Abstract
 
 Reason is the main basis of Mu'tazili interpretation, and based on this, verses whose appearances are in conflict with the ruling of reason are analyzed. Mu'tazila considers reason as the first basis for understanding Sharia and Sharia as subordinate to it.Mu'tazila considers reason as the first basis for understanding Sharia and Sharia as subordinate to it. The present research examines the interpretive foundations of Mu'tazila and New 'Itzal, their differences and similarities, and their performance in the field of interpretation with the method of analyzing and reviewing existing works.The traditional and new Mu'tazila have turned to interpretations regarding the freedom of man in his actions, God's dispensation from incarnation and evil, rejection of superstitions and myths, and denial of intercession, and at the same time, they have been caught in a kind of extremism in intellectual interpretations.
