Abstract
The present study focuses on verse 4 of Surah Ibrahim and conducts a comparative study of the concept of interpretation in the interpretation of Nur al-Thaqalayn. The main aim of the article is to explain how the language of the Quran is represented and the role of interpretation in religious understanding by focusing on this key verse. In this regard, the interpretation of Nur al-Thaqalayn as a narrative-oriented Shiite interpretation is compared with the interpretive approaches of Al-Mizan and Tafsir al-Namna. The main question is how the concept of the language of the Quran and interpretation are interpreted and explained in these three interpretations with an emphasis on the aforementioned verse and what are the differences and similarities in facing the epistemological dimension of the language of revelation and interpretive interpretation. The findings show that Nur al-Thaqalayn, emphasizing the role of the Imam as the final interpreter, considers interpretation as a tool for explaining the language of religion in light of the needs of society; While Al-Mizan introduces interpretation as a deepening in the semantic layers of the text and its relationship with the rational and historical course of mankind, and the typical interpretation focuses on the historical dimension and the language of the people. This comparative analysis reveals the different approaches of the three interpretations in understanding the language of religion and the possibility of interpretive interpretation based on the linguistic and cultural context of revelation. Of course, interpretation also has similarities with new approaches in cognitive linguistics.
