Abstract
Among the various topics of Quranic sciences, the discussion of interpretation approaches and commentators' views holds an important place. The two approaches, rationalism and textualism, play a particularly important role in the process of interpreting and interpreting the meanings of the Quran. The present study, using a descriptive and analytical method and a library approach, examines the views of rationalism and textualism in understanding the meanings of the Quran. The results of the study show that MullaSadra, as one of the most prominent Muslim thinkers, has a specific view on understanding the Quran and believes that Sharia and rational principles are inseparable. He considers reason essential in understanding the Quran and emphasizes the philosophical and demonstrative interpretation of the verses. In contrast, textual commentators emphasize the appearance of religious texts in interpreting the verses and do not believe in any place for the intervention of reason in determining the intention of God. These views ultimately lead to different effects on the way the Quran is interpreted and interpreted.
