One of the main concerns of Shia and Sunni commentators is the clarification of the interpretation of the Holy Qur'an in studying the implications of the verses. Meticulously identifying the similarities and differences of the two groups in implications and interpretations of a verse leads to a better understanding of it and achieving the meaning of the Surah. Thus, in the present inquiry, and through a descriptive-analytical method, we explore the differences between the two groups in the interpretation of the verses "On that Day there shall be radiant faces gazing towards their Lord". The main disagreement in the interpretation of the two groups is that some interpret the verse as the vision of the heart (esoteric gazing), the truth of the faith, and the intellectual knowledge of God on the Day of Resurrection, while others interpret the verse as gazing the heavenly blessings and the divine grace. According to the Shia speeches, the infallible Imams, especially Imam Reza (a), always invite their audiences to refer to the verses such as "No vision can grasp Him, but His grasp is over all vision" in terms of intellectual arguments. Analyzing and investigating the verses reveal that the Sunni commentators did not consider the material or worldly interpretation of the concept of "Nazar"(vision) in the above verse until the third century of Hijra.
