Despite its meaning in the dictionary and terminology, which refers to understanding the inner or ultimate meanings of verses, Ta'wil has always been a subject of discussion among commentators, theologians, and philosophers, and each has presented a specific reading of Ta'wil, while neglecting its fundamental functions. The essence of the discussion is how Ta'wil is connected to the guidance aspect of the Quran and in what way can it present the future-looking nature of this book to mankind? Is Ta'wil a tool for deepening the guidance of the Quran and presenting the horizons of the future of humanity, or is it merely an epistemological and theoretical matter? This research seeks to answer these questions using an analytical-descriptive method based on the method of analyzing the content of verses and narrations. The achievement of this research shows that interpretation in the sense of "discovering the inner meanings of similar verses" shows the guiding aspect and in the sense of "objective, consistent and applicable truth" shows the future-oriented aspect of the Quran. Interpretation is not only a matter of knowledge, but also a tool for opening future-oriented horizons in understanding the revealed text, and by linking the external and internal and clarifying the similarities, it smoothes the path of guidance. This means that interpretation is not limited as a tool for understanding the past, but rather it is a perspective for guiding humanity in the future. This is the innovation of this research.
